Week Long Holidays
Sun -
Sat. Arrive Sunday after lunch. Depart the following Saturday before
lunch. Your programme will be discussed on Sunday, and you will try a
horse or two to assess the best ride for you.
The
week's programme will be a mix of tuition and hacking as you prefer;
and many like to take a day or afternoon off to go sightseeing. After
all, Edinburgh
is less than an hour away along a quiet hill road. Even Loch Lomond is only just over an hour on the
motorway.
In Lanark
itself, where Sir William Wallace launched his freedom drive, there is
a Wallace
Trail;
and you can visit the spot where it is believed his house stood. This
really is Braveheart Country!
In the
evenings you will enjoy a leisurely meal, and then you can either visit
the pubs around the area - of which there are plenty! - or take stroll
in the woods that skirt Lanark Loch, or walk to the legendary Falls of Clyde. Alternatively, you might
care to hire one of our mountain bikes, or play pool, watch a movie in
our Mingles Lounge, or just curl up in a cosy corner with a good book.
The cost
is just £495.00 GBP per person inclusive of all accommodation,
meals, snacks, riding, use of hard hats, etcetera.
Accommodation
All adult
accommodation is in en suite rooms. Each room is
cosy, comfortable, and we have ample refurbished toilet and shower
facilities on each floor. Laundry and drying is available.
Adults
eat in our reception restaurant area, with table service, and creative
menus. This area is available to relax in the evenings, or to have a
coffee during the day.
Children
have their own dining room, with their own menus. Mingles Clubroom is
also available, and is equipped with pool, video and DVD, karaoke
machine, library, etcetera.
