	Lanimer Week Gets Underway.
	Lanimer Week in Lanark is a week of pageantry that traces its history to the dim depths of the Dark Ages. Lanark was proclaimed a Royal Burgh in 1140, and Lanimers has been around since that time. The week starts with a parade through the town to appoint the Lord Cornet on the Monday evening. A ride out takes place on the Wednesday evening, and the main procession of floats, bands, etc takes place on the Thursday. Our staff, clients, and friends all ride the opening night, and many take part in the wednesday Ride Out. These pictures are of the opening parade
